When should Push ortho ankle orthoses be used?

• Loss of control over the ankle dorsiflexors during swing and in response to loading (heel failure/flatfoot) due to problems with the tibia majoris anterior muscle and possible ankle instability.
• Diseases that may involve loss of ankle dorsiflexor function include: CVA, hernia, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury, polyneuropathy
• Moderate to severe spasticity (neuromotor disorder), foot deformity.

Push AFO elastic straps are adjustable. It stabilizes the foot, preventing it from swinging, moving incorrectly. In the case of heel strike, the elastic strap holds, providing a well-controlled plantar flexion. Standing Push AFO allows flexion and extension at the ankle joint and allows movement of the calf muscles during movement. The result is effective and has a natural progression.

If normal shoes allow you to fix the orthosis around the foot, Push AFO has its own fastening strap system. This innovative design allows Push AFO wear with light shoes such as indoor slippers.
