ALFESS™ is a new, state-of-the-art device designed to improve gait when there is foot drop and reduced foot and toe clearance. It helps the tibialis anterior nerves to actively flex the foot. The device is applied to the upper leg. During walking, sensors identify gait speed and leg angles to adapt to the way you walk. The algorithm processes the information and sends electrical impulses to the nerves to lift the foot. The user can easily increase or decrease the level of nerve stimulation at any time.
The device has a sleek and snug fit and is well suited for both right and left foot use. Thanks to the magnetic closure and the unique control device, the device can be used with one hand!
A training regimen helps to achieve the best rehabilitation results. The training can be done either together with the patient's doctor, or the patient can do the training independently after receiving clear instructions from the doctor.
